Another Super Bowl is in the books and with it, another stellar halftime show put on by one of the world’s most prolific artists.

Super Bowl LIX, hosted this year in New Orleans, was expected to be full of music, fun, and festivities. Happening just a few short weeks after the New Year’s terror attack on Bourbon Street, people were excited to use the game and its weekend festivities to heal.

One of the most highly anticipated and talked about performances was that of hip hop superstar Kendrick Lamar. Tapped to the play the Halftime show and just a week after winning FIVE Grammy awards for his hit track “Not Just Us,” people had high expectations for what was to come, and K.Dot (his original mixtape rap name) did not disappoint…….at least to the people who weren’t of a certain stereotype.
